"#PrayForJapan" Art Fundraiser @ JapanLA starts 3/19

SWEET STREETS is hosting a "#PrayForJapan" Art Fundraiser in response to the recent earthquake in Japan.
I'm very happy to have donated a limited edition "Toothhead Girl" print. The crisis in Japan is absolutely devastating and will require the global community to help. Japan is very close to my heart and Japanese culture is huge inspiration to me and my art.

**UPDATE** Thank you so much to the person who bought my print! It feels really great to help together. Overall the event donated over $11k to the Japan relief effort. Caro, Bubblepunch, and Jamie, the owner of JapanLA, did an amazing job putting this event together so quickly!

"#PrayForJapan" exhibits at JapanLA in Los Angeles, March 19 - April 4, 2011. 100% of art sales will be donated to the American Red Cross and those close to us.
JapanLA
7320 1/2 Melrose Ave.

If you would prefer to donate money, we recommend donating to the American Red Cross. Thank you for your support!

I helped to print these myself @ Modern Multiples. Hand-pulling of the gradients and transparencies proved to be tricky but turned out really nice! To see more on the making of this edition, visit my site.

Time Out Amsterdam magazine

I just found out my art for La Galerie Provocatrice's Winter show is featured in the current issue of Time Out Amsterdam magazine as the #2 thing to do for Valentine's Day in Amsterdam!
They even did a wonderful little write-up on my art. I have always loved Amsterdam, it is such a creative and inspiring city - now I really feel like I'm a part of it with my girls!

Sirens

"Sirens" - I wanted these girls to be icy beauties, capable of luring you to the doldrums of their enchanted pond. I was inspired by Russian art and also the tranquility and beauty of Japanese gardens.
